About JustSafe
JUSTSAFE is a four-year Horizon Europe project that advances fair, inclusive, and community-centred climate resilience across Europe through scientific tools, social innovation, nature-based solutions, and participatory governance. The project develops and tests tailored interventions such as Europe’s first Urban Climate Social Digital Twin, community greening initiatives, school and health-focused resilience tools, and co-designed nature-based solutions, with each demonstrator paired to a replication site for scaling. Through continuous co-creation with residents, authorities, civil society, and frontline practitioners, JustSafe delivers equitable, accessible adaptation approaches that strengthen Europe’s capacity to manage climate risks and contribute directly to the EU Mission on Adaptation.
The project aims to advance justice-centred climate resilience across Europe by developing tools, models, and governance approaches that support vulnerable communities in adapting to climate impacts.
