On 15 October 2026, JustSafe, JUST4CARE and FairFuture came together for their first joint webinar, “Just Climate Adaptation: Putting Vulnerable Communities First”, exploring how climate adaptation strategies can better address social inequalities and ensure that vulnerable communities are not left behind.

The webinar brought together representatives from the three Horizon Europe projects to share their approaches, activities and experiences in promoting more equitable, inclusive and community-driven climate resilience.

Representing JustSafe, Maria Gkoztia and Mirsini Karakasoglou provided an overview of the project and introduced the activities planned across its demonstration and replicator sites. Their presentation highlighted how JUSTSAFE aims to strengthen community engagement and make climate information more accessible through innovative approaches, including citizen science, serious games, climate awareness activities and participatory solutions.

Throughout the session, the three projects explored common challenges, including reaching underrepresented communities, overcoming barriers to meaningful participation and ensuring that local knowledge and experiences inform adaptation decisions.

The webinar marked the beginning of a series of joint exchanges between JUSTSAFE, JUST4CARE and FairFuture, creating opportunities to share experiences, identify synergies and strengthen cooperation towards more socially just climate adaptation.
