On 10 December, the JUSTSAFE project held its first Stakeholder Forum meeting, marking an important milestone in the project’s engagement with stakeholders involved in climate adaptation, governance, and social inclusion across Europe.
The meeting served as an introductory session, aimed at presenting the project’s objectives, scope, and overall approach to developing justice-oriented climate resilience pathways. Participants were introduced to the role of the Stakeholder Forum as a space for dialogue, mutual learning, and knowledge exchange, supporting the project’s efforts to ensure that climate adaptation strategies respond to the needs of vulnerable and marginalised communities.

During the session, the project team also shared initial insights from its early work on stakeholder mapping and participatory governance, outlining how these activities will inform future research, co-design processes, and pilot actions within JUSTSAFE. The discussion highlighted the importance of cross-sector cooperation and inclusive participation in shaping fair and effective adaptation measures.
This first meeting laid the foundations for continued collaboration and engagement throughout the project’s lifetime. Future Stakeholder Forum meetings, which will focus on specific themes, project results, and co-creation activities, will be announced in due course through the JUSTSAFE website and communication channels.
